PRP HAIR REGENERATION

✚ Hair Growth Cycles & treatments

  • Anagen (growth phase) - stimulated by PRP and PRF therapy, strengthening active hair follicles.

  • Catagen (transition phase) - decreased by PRP and PRF therapy, reduces thinning and falling of hair follicles.

  • Telogen (resting phase) - sleeping hair follicles are activated by RED light therapy and pushed into Anagen growth phase.

✚ Why Do You Have Hair Loss?

  • It is normal to lose about 50 to 100 hairs per day during your telogen hair growth cycle. Hair will grow back when you see a white bulb at the end of a fallen hair strand. But if your hair is falling out in clumps, your loss is more significant. Most men experience some hair loss by age 35 starting on the crown due to androgen hormonal imbalance with excess DHT ( a by-product of testosterone) making hair follicles stop producing hair. Recently, even males and females in their 20’s have been seeking hair loss treatment.

  • Female pattern baldness is hereditary and hormonal – but stress, toxins, and poor diets play a role. Women usually don’t go completely bald, two-thirds lose hair after menopause, and fewer have full hair past age 65.

  • You can stimulate your thin hair follicles (already in active growth phase) to regrow with your own plasma as PRF or PRP injections and awaken the Sleeping hair follicles into “active growth phase” with Red Light therapy.

  • Topical medications like “Minoxidil” or oral medications like “Finasteride” can also be used with PRF/P and red light therapy, to further stimulate hair growth.

✚ PRF/P Hair Regenerate Therapy

  • Your blood is mainly composed of plasma which contains red cells, white cells, and platelets. Your platelets contain growth factors like: vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), platelet-derived growth factors (PDGF - AA,AB,BB), transforming growth factor-beta-1 (TGF-β1), Epidermal growth factor (EGF) and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1) that stimulates damaged cells regeneration.

  • In our system of PRF production, your blood is drawn into a vial from your arm, then spun in a centrifuge to isolate your platelets. After about 5-8 minutes, your blood will have separated into two layers: Platelet-Rich Fibrin (with some leukocytes ) and Red Blood Cells.

  • PRF is injected into the subdermal skin level of your scalp, producing mild local inflammation that triggers a healing process that promotes new blood vessel growth, enhances circulation, and stimulates your active follicles to regrow hair.

  • The benefit of PRF will start to show after about 6-7 weeks, lasting about 2 years. Your results may vary depending on your age, the severity of your condition, genetic differences, general health, and environmental factors.

✚ Advantages of PRF Hair Regeneration

  • PRF is a 2nd generation PRP, has a high leukocyte and platelet count embedded in fibrin, proven to promote regeneration more effectively, with a longer washout time of 3 months.

  • PRP washout time is shorter and gets cleared from the body within 1 month.

  • Safe: Over half a million successful PRP procedures have been performed worldwide.

  • Autologous: from your own blood, with no risk of rejection or infection.

  • Organic: PRF is not mixed with any other solution but is your own organic plasma.

  • Non-surgical: no incisions, scarring, anesthetic, hospital stay, or long recovery time, cost-effective compared to surgery.

  • Fast and simple: your procedure takes 30-45 minutes, including prep time, and is much faster than any surgical option.

✚ Dual PRP & PRF Method

  • We first draw blood into PRP tubes with separator fluid and let it sit in the tubes until PRF injections are completed.

  • We then draw blood into PRF tubes, spin the tubes to produce the PRF, and immediately start injections into the scalp

  • When PRF injections are complete, we spin the PRP tubes that were already collected and separate PRP fluid for injection into the scalp

  • Dual System can be done by individual needle injections or by using MesoGun fast injections.

  • Generally, each 0.2ml single needle injection is equivalent to 20 mesongun injections of (0.01ml per shot).

  • Our Mesoram multi-needle plate injector can deliver 7-point simultaneous injections from one syringe.

✚ Complications:

  • Slight swelling, pain, bruising, or soreness may occur, but this can be minimized using antiseptic soaps during the next several days. You may always contact Dr. Abovian for any additional questions.

  • Be sure to discuss your medical history and any medications you take during your consultation, as there are some conditions or medications that may prevent you from PRF therapy.

✚ Injection Techniques

  • Single Needle manual injection requires numbing cream to be applied for at least 30 minutes

  • multi Needle injection (7 needles at once) manual injection, requires numbing cream to be applied for 30 minutes
